FAQ

Q? When will I receive my bus pass refund?

A: All approved students will find their bus pass refunds in their Winter 2026 fees. The refund is directly applied to your next semester's tuition. If you would like the refund to go to your bank account instead, please visit Financial Aid's Office or Registrar's Office and they will assist you with this.

This year, we received an influx of bus pass opt-out applications. As per our contract with Transit Windsor, we have a maximum of 40% students we can accept based on the posted criteria for opt-out, and we surpassed that percentage this year. To ensure fairness within our posted regulations and all students, we had to prioritize accepting students who fit the criteria for opting out. We understand this caused a lot of disappointment for students who don't fall under our posted criteria but still don't need the pass. We are taking all feedback seriously and we are working to improve this system for next year and years to come. Q? When will I receive my health insurance, dental, and legal aid refund?

A: These applications are still being processed as of November 12, 2025. We expect these refunds to be sent out via direct deposit or cheque, around the end of November or early December. For reference, last year they were dispersed on November 23, 2024. For more inquiries on your health, dental & legal opt-out, please email: help@aclstudentbenefits.com
