The President position is the pinnacle of SRC leadership and is available to board members who are graduating and not returning to school. This is a full-time, salaried role for one year, running from May to the end of April and based out of the South Campus in Windsor, with flexibility to work at the SRC Office at the Downtown Windsor campus as well.
As the highest-ranking officer of the SRC, the President serves as the official liaison between the SRC and the college administration. The role encompasses:
- Leadership and Advocacy: Representing the student body at college and community events, and ensuring a strong student voice on college committees.
- Governance: Chairing Board of Directors meetings, supervising executive roles, and setting strategic priorities for the organization.
- Student Representation: Advocating for students on provincial and federal platforms and addressing academic misconduct and appeals.
- Event and Policy Support: Collaborating with administration to support student programs and initiatives that improve the overall college experience.
- Corporate Responsibility: Acting as the official spokesperson for the SRC and maintaining the organization's integrity in all actions.
The President plays a key role in shaping the SRC’s direction and impact, providing leadership to both students and the broader college community.
