Depending on your campus program directors can apply for a Vice President position by participating in the SRC elections. Vice President candidates must:
- Be currently enrolled in a full-time program at St. Clair College.
- Have paid the SRC Membership Fee.
- Ensure they are not graduating before their term is complete (unless they provide a program acceptance letter).
Responsibilities of the Vice President role include:
- Leadership: Overseeing the Class Representative Program for their respective campus and ensuring smooth communication and engagement between Class Representatives and the SRC Board.
- Support: Assisting the SRC President and collaborating with fellow board members to implement student-focused initiatives and programs.
- Advocacy: Representing student interests on campus and working to address issues or concerns brought forward by the student body.
- Event Management: Coordinating and participating in SRC events and activities to foster community engagement and enhance the student experience.
The Vice President position requires a commitment of 15 hours per week, paid hourly, excluding additional mandatory meetings or events. They are also compensated on a semesterly basis, with performance assessments to ensure accountability and impact. This role serves as a critical leadership position, bridging the gap between students and the SRC.
