The Director position is the foundational step in your leadership journey within the SRC Board of Directors. Directors serve as the primary connection between the student body and college administration, advocating for student interests and contributing to the overall enhancement of the student experience.
Key Responsibilities of a Director:
- Student Advocacy: Act as the voice of the student body by addressing concerns, gathering feedback, and ensuring students’ needs are communicated effectively to the administration.
- Event Participation: Plan and execute monthly events to promote community engagement and enrich student life.
- Meeting Attendance: Participate in board and committee meetings to discuss and implement student-centered initiatives.
- Campus Representation: Serve as a direct link between students and the SRC, ensuring accessibility and visibility to address concerns or inquiries.
Directors are required to work five hours per week, scheduled around their class commitments. They are compensated on a semesterly basis, with performance assessments to ensure accountability and impact.
Directors are selected through a formal interview process. Successful candidates will join a collaborative team dedicated to improving the student experience at St. Clair College.
